L'Oreal Powder Room.

I just got back home from the L'Oreal Powder Room at Docklands. It was quite a disappointment really because they promote so much of the new product that I expected to get my hands on trying it out at the very least. The advertisement and the promoting was definitely way over the top.

When I got there, the lady at the front told us that they only do nails, skin care, & lips. So I chose lips because the line was much quicker. I went in and sat down, the MA advised me a lip colour that I will never in my life even think about touching it. Her advice on the right shade of lip colour was a massive FAIL. I was about to ask her for advise of how she came to be a makeup artist for L'Oreal which could always be a great opportunity for me as well, but as soon as I saw the lip colour she chose I just shut up. I sat there for less than 5 minutes when I was told to get the free stuff towards the exit.

And the free stuff! Inside a silver bag, there is a bunch of pamphlets and 3 products. An Extra-Volume Collagene Mascara, a Glam Shine Volumizer lipgloss that doesn't even match my skin tone, and a lip Collagen Filler that I don't need.

It is quite understandable that they are having this event going for the entire week and all day long. They don't get enough breaks, and I can understand how tired they are having to deal with different people every 5 minutes, trying to choose something that's best for that current customer at a very short time. At the same time, I must say I'm a little disappointed because they promote SO MUCH of the new product but we don't even get to see, try, touch, or even get any advice on why or how this new collection is good and is a must have. So at the very least, make us like the product just enough for us to go ahead and pay for it!
